Early Warning Systems (such as Roboguard) are designed to protect humans. Their primary function is to alert the residents of a dwelling to the presence of an intruder with sufficient time for the resident to respond proactively. They are intended to shift the element of surprise from the intruder to the resident.
The Roboguard is a standalone, wireless, automatic outdoor intruder security system utilizing passive infrared sensor beams that detect movement up to 20 meters away in a 110° arc. Each guard has two sensors, one on top and one at the bottom, each emitting 11 beams. Both the top and bottom beams must be broken within half a second to trigger an alert. This effectively eliminates false alarms caused by dogs, birds, and plants. The Roboguard is a reliable and affordable outdoor surveillance system. It is an ideal add-on to any electric fence or alarm system, or as a complete standalone security system.
Being standalone and wireless, they can also tag along on camping or fishing trips to protect your expensive gear while you enjoy yourself. The Roboguard Beam communicates with a receiver called the HQ from up to 400 meters away to inform you where an intruder has broken the beam and also reports to the HQ every 20 minutes to verify its signal, battery, and operational status. If the guard is tampered with, an alarm is triggered as well.
